Responsibilities:
- Supplier Quality Assurance system as part of the QMS, including: Supplier Qualification / APQP Programme Management, Quality Agreements, Rating System, Audits, Quality Meetings
- Ensuring Customer and Internal complaints related to supplied parts are closed via 8D and 5 Why methodology
- Continuous improvement of suppliers performance, mentoring suppliers in the use of quality tools such Statistical Process Control, Machine and Process Capability Studies, Measurement System Analysis, 8D Problem Solving, 5 Why, Ishikawa, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and Process Control Plans.
- Management of the supplier complaints, management of the incoming inspection, monitoring of blocked stock.
- Parts and Process approval (Production Part Approval Process, PPAP), parts requalification, assistance with the material changes
- Storage life / expiry dates monitoring
- Internal audits as part of the audit team
Requirements:
- A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Good working knowledge of the ISO 9001 and TS 16949 standards and corresponding quality techniques such as 8D, 5Why, EMPB/PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Quality Audit
- Experience of TS16949 and a track record of launching automotive programmes with zero supplier spills
- Able to self-manage and plan a programme of supplier introduction / APQP / improvement activities based on customer programme requirements
