Axeon's subsidiaries, SAT AG and EMB GmbH, were renamed Axeon AG and Axeon GmbH, as of 1st July 2009.
Both SAT and EMB have impressive and long-established reputations in the battery sector and consolidated this during their recent well-attended “Battery Day” in the Technology Park in Zurich. The event focused on a number of battery-related issues, inculding safety measures, software, innovations in the cell industry, new fuel cells, the safe transport of dangerous materials, etc. The seminar showed that especially in the dangerous goods transport, many users still lack the necessary knowledge to conform to UN and new EU-Regulations.
Axeon’s Swiss subsidiary has a development and sales centre in Visp, as well as international high volume capacity for manufacturing battery-packs at its site in Gliwice, southern Poland.
