(09-08-10)

Significant quality enhancements at its Poland manufacturing plant have led to leading lithium ion battery supplier Axeon winning a coveted A supplier rating from its major power tools client Robert Bosch.

An inspection team from Bosch found that the plant in Gliwice, Poland had significantly improved its systems since the last audit two years ago – then it was rated as a A-B supplier.

“This gives us real confidence in our product manufacturing process”, said Axeon Chief Executive Lawrence Berns. “We have invested heavily in quality systems and its encouraging to know that the results are not only obvious to us but to one of our most important and demanding customers”.
